Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about planning your natural wedding
Planning & Booking
How far in advance should we book?
We recommend booking 6-12 months in advance, especially for peak wedding season (May-October). This gives us time to scout the perfect location, secure permits, and handle all logistics. However, we've successfully coordinated beautiful celebrations with as little as 2-3 months notice for off-season dates.
Sustainability
What does 'sustainable' really mean for your events?
Great question! For us, sustainability means:
- Zero single-use plastics - all materials are reusable or biodegradable
- Local sourcing - décor, flowers, and materials sourced locally when possible
- Leave No Trace - every site restored to natural state, often cleaner than we found it
- Carbon offsetting - we calculate and offset the carbon footprint of every event
- Education - guests receive information about the local ecosystem
We're certified in Leave No Trace principles and work with conservation organizations. You can read more details on our Sustainability page.
Logistics & Day-Of
What happens if it rains?
Weather is always a consideration for outdoor celebrations. We include weather contingency planning in every package:
- Transparent canopy structures that provide shelter while maintaining views
- Backup date options (for ceremony-only packages)
- Close weather monitoring and day-of adjustments
- Clear communication about weather expectations for your chosen season/location
Many couples find that light rain adds a romantic, intimate atmosphere—and we come prepared with beautiful umbrellas!
General Questions
Can we bring our own vendors?
Absolutely! We love collaborating with photographers, caterers, and other vendors you've chosen. We just ask that outside vendors:
- Follow Leave No Trace principles
- Use sustainable practices (no single-use plastics, proper waste management)
- Coordinate timing and logistics with our team
We're also happy to recommend trusted vendors who share our values and have experience with outdoor events.
